2021 NBA Draft Safari

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I either need per 100....or I have a calculation that can use pace + per 36/40, to get an accurate estimate of per 100.

Those are the two calculations I have that can determine a PDIFF number in my spreadsheet.

Do you know of somewhere that tracks that for foreign prospects? Per 100 stats?

I have had a lot of trouble in the past getting those numbers publicly, so if there is an interesting prospect, I will sometimes ping a few of the friends I have in NBA team circles who can easily get it (like Ball last year). But I typically wait until all games are played, so I don't have to ask again. :chuckle:

Realgm doesn't have per-100, but it has pace data, so you can calculate per-100. Here are Sengun's numbers:

I admittedly know nothing about him......have you watched him quite a bit?

How is he as an athlete? The thing that would be more concerning is he has a pretty high foul rate. And if he's a lesser athlete, I would suspect that will probably get worse in the NBA.

When you look at Mobley for example.....

Mobley - 11.3 hustle, 2 BLK/STL per PF, 3.4 BLK/STL/OREB per PF
Sengun- 13.5 hustle, 0.9 BLK/STL per PF, 2.1 BLK/STL/OREB per PF

Mobley just produces elite numbers across the board in those categories......so seeing Sengun lagging there would be my concern.

My stuff does really like his output, it considers him an elite producer.......but with him, it is probably more dependent on his athleticism, as if his rebounding pulls back and he fouls a bit more.....I can see a world where it is tougher for him to contribute on an NBA team.

But again, that is just what stands out with his data. I really don't know anything about him as a prospect.

This video does a pretty good job summarizing his offensive game. I can see why some evaluators are cool on him as a "throwback" low-post scorer, but as the video goes on, you can see he does much more than just low-post scoring.

EDIT: I'll also point out that he's a full year younger than Mobley, and (anecdotally at least) foul rate is something that seems to improve a lot with experience for teenage bigs. So that's not a huge concern for me.

Where is Suggs on everyone's personal boards now? Haven't been keeping tabs on Gonzaga but I saw that he's now shooting 25% from 3 in conference play. The sweet-shooting Suggs is definitely a top 3-5 pick, but does he deserve it with his current shooting over a larger sample size?

I have him rated lower in my rankings for the Cavaliers than I do in overall rankings.

For Cavaliers:
Mobley
Kuminga
Barnes
Cunningham
Sengun
Green
Suggs
Wagner

Overall
Mobley
Green
Barnes
Kuminga
Cunningham
Suggs
Sengun
Wagner

I'm sounding like a broken record with this, but once again, no Cade, no problem for Oklahoma State. They're playing as well as they've played all season on the road against #6 WVU.

Quick question.....haven’t seen the Buckeyes play this year! They are ranked 7th right.....do they have any lottery bound players?

Yeah, the Buckeyes have a bunch of college players with old man skills. Though they got 2 players(one that is playing early on the team due to Covid) coming in that are more talented than what they currently have as vets.

I love this draft, if the Cavs ended up in the 5-7th spot they still would get a nice player, better than Okoro from last year.

I don’t want anything other than a top two pick!

The Cavaliers have likely used up all their Lottery luck. Getting Lebron, Kyrie, Bennet and Wiggins within a decade means we aren't likely to move up anymore...

Yeah, but the last 2 drafts we have fallen back. Hopefully that means a top 4 slot from around 7-8.

Just had a chance to watch OSU on ESPN....FUCK THAT! They don’t even have “old man skills”! Up four (68-64) with 2:30 remaining and goes scoreless the rest of the way! Up four and they take FIVE three pointers and when they needed the mid range game or got into the key in the final 56 seconds they shot bricks! SMH!!!!!! Please don’t even identify these kids with us “old guys”! I’ve seen better heads on beer! They do not understand the game or game situations

Getting FOUR #1 picks in a decade means they're likely to move back for at least a decade. I wish luck was only on the Cavaliers side, but the odds just aren't likely to work in our favor for awhile. That's why I welcome them finishing with a top 3 worst record.

Just got a gut feeling we’re getting a Top Two Pick this year!

Moody with 28 points on 15 shots for the second straight game. He's one of the younger freshmen, turning 19 just before the draft, and he hit a huge go-ahead 3 in the final minute to keep Arkansas's impressive win streak intact. He has an elite 1-and-done wing profile and should be a mid/high lottery pick.
