So did LeBron, and AD and KD and every sad superstar of the last 15 years. Why the Knicks get so much respect for three championship runs from 50 years ago I dont get. At this point, why aren't the Pacers rolling in superstar FAs? They won 4 titles in the same decade.

Honestly I’m floored that players don’t flock to NY. The atmosphere is unreal and 1 title there is legendary…

One poster says Knicks have three titles, another says one. They actually have two, both over the Lakers. They did lose to the Lakers in the Finals in between those two titles.

The “Mecca of basketball” is actually the oldest arena in the NBA and not even located anywhere near Madison Square.

Are you forgetting their title in the 90s? I thought that was the one everyone was always excited about.

Now that you mention it MSG did have a championship in the 90s. Rangers though, not Knicks.
Did NY go crazy over the Rangers’ title?
I remember the last Knicks title because my all time favorite NBA player (Earl the Pearl Monroe) was on it.
