Simmons is the one whose bluff was called. They fined him and he gave up his holdout. He’s out a million bucks for nothing.
Exactly!!!! Just like what the Nets did to Cryie! Let’s how much he really wants to be “the voice for voiceless”!
As for Ben…..he’s going nowhere until Morley backs off his assets demands. Everybody knows Simmons wants out (like Cryie with the Cavs) so league GMs are sitting back and being patient waiting for Morley to back off his demands.

Eddie Johnson just tore Kyrie Irving a new one on NBA radio. As Eddie pointed out, it’s always something with this guy. He’s never happy, you can’t count on him to play and he lets his teammates down because he can’t decide if he’s in or out. His Instagram statement was not coherent.

Bottom line with Kyrie is that he can’t be trusted to play. Forget owners, GMs, coaches, media and even fans - so many of his peers are tired of his act. Ben is headed down the same road.

Guys like Ben and Kyrie are taking away from the game. It’s bad drama. Boo.
I've said this on more than one occasion. Kyrie Irving is suffering from mental illness. There has been a clear number of examples of this over the last few years. A lot of his behaviors aren't dissimilar from things we were seeing from Kanye West a few years ago, and it is well documented that he has his own mental health issues.

It’s called Borderline Personality Disorder

The Ben Simmons drama gets even funnier.

His teammates think he was trying to avoid playing in Game 7 last year. This guy is just getting brutalized because he's a pampered bitch. Love it.

You're probably right. He displays a lot of the signs of BPD.

The self-sabotaging part is pretty interesting. Kyrie could have let Lebron take the heat for his departure like he did for at least a year and then he just had to say stuff that slowly eroded the good will until now where people wouldn't even want him back.

He's like "Why me??" in his recent response to this whole thing, but he has purposefully put himself under the microscope and then shyed away from the limelight.

Said bad things about Cleveland and then never played again in Cleveland.

His team is the favorite for the title this year and he is blowing it right now.

Happy to make a personal choice, unhappy at the personal consequences

I think he would be better off taking the Wiggins route if he's against getting the vax. He says he's not against the vax, just not having "ownership of his own body". He could easily get it, play the game, and speak out against how he didn't have choice. By playing/being interviewed about it after every game he would have more of a chance to spread his message/beliefs than by doing what he's doing.

I am going to just come out and say it... I think I'm becoming a Sacramento Kings fan.

I know they have the worst ownership outside of the Dolans in New York. Following both Gilbert's organization and the Ranadive era will probably cause me to have a stroke... but this new GM has figured out how to get a competitive small market roster together.

I don't think that roster will be able to overcome the #CarillCurse, no matter how good they look on paper.

That's a thing? The most innovative coach of his generation taught his offense to Adelman for a decade and that's somehow a curse? I need more here...

Oh, it's a curse (that I made up) because I don't think they did right by him. He's best as a coach and left in 2006ish. They haven't been good since. Even getting him to come back (twice?) didn't seem genuine.

I don't know if an NBA franchise had a worse front office from 2006 to now. I don't know how many franchises had worse ownership between the fraud brothers and Vivek making Dan Gilbert seem hands-off by comparison.

That said... Monte McNair might have been the real brains behind Daryl Morey's run in Houston. I like the youth movement - smart first round picks and a great 2nd round strategy - combined with veterans who:

A. Have won in the NBA.
B. Aren't looking for the limelight.

Ballock is the best sniper on the roster and they just waived him in favor of Tacko or Nembhart? Weird stuff going on in this front office these days. I can't say I am surprised they kept Tacko being so polarizing but would have much rather seen them waive Valentine who is terrible still over Ballock who will be the leagues next Duncan Robinson for some other roster smh
