Westbrook to the Lakers. Well they aren't taking that exit from the playoffs very well..ha.
I don't think it will, which is ideal because I hate the Lakers. It will 100% work out for them because that's just how these things go.
It's sure gonna be fun to watch Russ in LA, but I really doubt that's gonna work. It reminds me of when Houston paired Russ with Harden and that flamed out too. Russ & LeBron are both ball-dominant players, just like Russ & Harden were/are, so I can't see how it will work. Unless LeBron re-invents himself, he needs shooters around him and that's not Russ...Westbrook to the Lakers. Well they aren't taking that exit from the playoffs very well..ha.

Hield would've been a better pickup, but Russ will sell more tickets, not that the Lakers really have to worry about that.It was amazing to me that not only did they take a pass on Hield (one of the top three point shooters in the whole league), but they gave away their best long range shooter in KCP at the same time.
Russ wants his triple doubles and wants the ball. I don't see Lebron deferring to him too much. This is a poor mans Durant move to GS even though this was a trade. It's sure gonna be fun to watch Russ in LA, but I really doubt that's gonna work. The Lakers are going to miss all three of those players because nobody they have left on the bench gives them the D, outside shooting, rebounding and hustle that those three players brought to the table. The Lakers will be signing a lot min wage vets to fill those roles. It may workout but……The trade should definitely let Lebron relax more during the regular season. Westbrook is like a one man team -- unfortunately it's not a very good one man team. Plus, it gives them all kinds of star power for the foreseeable future, at least among people nostalgic for the NBA of 5-10 years ago.
But getting Hield and keeping KCP would have been a better move if you can get everyone healthy to the playoffs, it strikes me as a more dangerous playoff lineup. Maybe they can somehow do a sign and trade with Schroeder and get Hield too? Seems unlikely though.
It means the best thing about Capitol One Arena is still the food and drink in ChinatownI live in DC so it's also interesting to me what this means for the Wizards. It strikes me that the Wiz are now loaded up with good role players plus a primary star but are missing a second star. Not sure what the route to get that guy is (and having watched them last year, it wasn't Westbrook -- he was good but not "get past the first round of the playoffs" good).
