2021 NBA PLAYOFFS MEGA THREAD

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why are new posters so combative and argumentative? it used to be chill around here.

This is amazing because you should know the answer? Your first day, you showed up and would post whatever point you were trying to make and then just throw in there, "You guys don't seem to know basketball" and every time you disagreed with someone you would say, "you should watch the game" .

Randolph Keys had to straighten you out if I remember correctly. I love you as a poster, but you came in really hot lol.

Shut up

Why is everybody hyping this LBJ # change???? Good Lord! He’s gone back and forth from 23-6 like 3-4 times now! Big deal!!!!!!! He’s changing his number again...who cares! And talking about if he wins another title in LA they’ll retire his #23! Really? Guy plays in your city all of three years and you put his jersey in the rafters? What a slap in the face to all of the Laker greats
No one in the media is hyping it up. But of course they will retire his jersey. They retired Wilt Chamberlain’s jersey and he played 5 years and won 1 title with them. When he won that title, he was the 4th leading scorer in the playoffs and the third leading scorer in the finals. The Lakers want the best players of all-time associated with their franchise. That’s LeBron James. The only question is which number will they retire.

I wasn’t being sarcastic at all. Just trying to get clarification?

What exactly do you want to talk about?

As far as I’ve seen the media outlets have simply reported that he’s changing his number.

I’m not sure what discussion there is to be had, or that there’s anything to debate here.
That was my whole point....why is LBJ changing his number again so news worthy and also in a couple of articles regarding it they were talking about his numbers being retired with three different teams. He played in Miami all of three years and by the time he’s done in LA maybe 5. That limited time merits having your number retired. That’s the only questions I was asking? Are they hot topics to discuss? Probably not. But they were questions that popped in my head so proposed them. That’s all.

I wish there was as much speculation about him leaving the Lakers because of the change as there was on the Cavs. That would be satisfying.

"No assets no future Lakers. As Anthony Davis proves to be injury prone, does Lebron decide to move on?"

I still don’t understand your point?

Why is it an issue that they’re reporting the factual event of him changing his number?

Fuck you, old posters can be combative and argumentative. Prove me wrong jerk.

(yes this is a joke, lol)

How do you solve the issue of a short front court that has problem playing defense because of their size?

Find a coach that is allergic to defense. Perfect.
I think the notion that MDA doesn't coach defense is outdated.

He's learned a lot in the past decade. The biggest issue I would have with hiring him is that he turned 70 last month.

It was mainly a joke. He is a good coach, but I think Portland has roster issues bigger than the coaching issues.

D'antoni would get the most out of that backcourt though, look what he did for Nash and I know Nash is a 2 time MVP, but i think Dame is a more dynamic and better PG than Nash personally.

I think Portland will likely reshape their roster regardless of their coaching hire.

It will be interesting to see what they can do.

I think McCollum and Nurkic should both go.

So you think they should Nuke Nurk?

I will show myself out.

I have read no less than 5 articles about him changing his number.....that’s hyping it. And I was wondering why is it news worthy? He’s done it at least three times before. But I’ll drop it because it’s clear that it’s not worth discussing.
