The most exciting NFL day of the spring. In years past most of us would be drunk with the channel changed an hour into the draft. But with the success of last season we will all be drunk and passed out before the browns make their round 1 selection.

Chances are browns are going defense first, but only time will tell.

Let's get it on!

Edit Q has put together a chat
I know Chatzy is a tradition at this point, but does anyone else feel like moving into the modern era and doing Discord?

If so, I just spun up an RCF Discord server here: https://discord.gg/ZHptfHGX

The NFL assumed Cleveland would once again be a key player in the NFL Draft storylines, as they so usually are.

Instead, they kicked the door down and became a team that cares about the regular season too.

You love to see it, but this draft is going to be so crucial for the sustainability of that success.

I feel like Mac Jones will be the biggest wild card of the first round. He could be number 3 or could be the last QB of the top 5 drafted. We really don't know where he will land!

This is the first time since I've become an avid Browns fan and follower that they aren't picking as a bad team at or near the top of the draft, and it's different.

I, like a lot of others, want to see them bolster the defense. I'm always a sucker for good players in the secondary, so a first round corner would be neat. Everything I read is that safety is a poor position this year, so we likely won't see them go there.

I'm torn on these high ceiling low floor players like Jaelen Phillips. Obviously he could be a dynasty-making pick, but he could also end up having 0 meaningful contributions in his career. I think I'd rather they pick a safe propsect who can step in and help day 1. Where do ya'll stand on that?

I agree with you. While I would be excited to think what "might be" if they pick a guy like Phillips or Farley, I much prefer they make sure we get a defensive player who can be counted on and not hoped for. It's unrelated but losing Greedy for two years and Delpit for one really sucked.

I'm still all aboard the Jaelen Phillips train. Choo choo motherfuckers.

He won't be there at 26, but if he is, when's the next time you're going to get a Joey Bosa-esque talent that deep in the draft?

Everyone is one bad hit away from being out.

Effin rain. Was watching Cleveland weather for the last 10 days hoping for good weather to represent well. Saw they have all these bar tables for teams and players in the grass looking all tight....now they'll be blown over and drenched from the elements. Poor poor Cleveland.

Such a cluster-f with the weather. On the fence about even going down there if it doesn't stop.

You'd think it would have been indoors if not for COVID. And the location sucks for bars and such obviously. But the lakeside is a better look for TV than the plaza where the Cavs had their parade.

Just can't help but think how pissed the out-of-towners are going to be with this whole thing when the last one they did in person was in Nashville on Broadway...

Also a very rainy experience for a portion of the weekend fwiw
