Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m not 100% sure we can afford a franchise tag.

And if we’re trading for him just to let him walk in a year, how much are we giving up?
Mid-round (3rd or 4th) is what was mentioned earlier. Not sure that'd even be enough to get him though.

But, I was just presenting possibilities of how the situation could unfold without the Browns just losing him (or someone else) for nothing.

A 3rd would be great. When we walks, we get that 3rd back, so we end up getting him for free

I'm just baffled that he would prefer the Jets, who are a dumpster fire that hasn't proven anything yet and is light on talent, over the Dolphins, who look to have hired the right coach and has at least a little proven talent on the offensive side, plus a boatload of draft picks to enhance that talent level.

Although as someone who has Denzel Mims in my main dynasty league, Watson going to New York would be amazing.
I read it backwards then, I thought he prefers the Dolphins as no. 1. Probably a desire to be in NY but avoid the Giants?

The texans prefer those two teams because they have the most valuables assets to give up

The Steelers obviously don't have enough assets to get Deshaun Watson...but Aaron Rodgers maybe?

Unless he's playing for basically free and Roethlisberger gives up 20-30mil, not happening.

Or the Steelers do a ton of cutting/restructuring to the point their roster is unrecognizable.

Reminder that we play the NFC North next season, and Kirk Cousins might be, by far, the best QB in the division.

Or to get the deal done, the Packers take Ben's contract in return? In exchange for a couple extra picks?

Unless one or both restructures some more, still not enough. Rodgers base salary is 25mil. Trading Roethlisberger for Rodgers actually will add a couple mil to Pit's salary cap, so that won't help. In that regard.

And GB would also be in bad shape because Roehtlisberg's roster bonus would put them way over the cap. They'd have to somehow get the deal done before that became guaranteed. But that doesn't solve Pits issues.

The ole Trade me or Pay me tactic. Good job A A Ron.

The Lions are shopping quarterback Matthew Stafford, and they have a whole lot of potential customers.

About a third of the league has reached out to the Lions about a potential Stafford trade, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Among the teams that have been mentioned as potential trade partners for the Lions are the Colts, 49ers, Broncos, Patriots, Football Team, Panthers, Raiders, Rams, Texans and Cowboys.

The Lions are said to be seeking at least a first-round draft pick for Stafford. With so many teams interested, they may be able to get more than that.
