I am not trying to turn this into another political thread. But notice it says among “unvaccinated players”. The implication, I assume is that they wouldn’t forfeit if somehow they had a bunch of “breakthrough” infections. So teams are now highly motivated to get everyone vaxxed.
Edit - holy shit

Latest update i.e. agent leak is saying the Rats might end up signing Lamar before Baker, contrary to recent common wisdom.

Range expected to be 40-45mm apy (of course the article just assumed from Dak's and Mahomes' numbers.)
the ravens are a pretty smart organization, so a move like this would shock the hell out of me. But please please please let it happen

If he has 2 more good years, 40-45m a year under a much larger cap might be a good deal for Baltimore.
He needs to have GREAT years to justify that amount, unless the salary cap is going to go up by 20%.

That last tweet is huge. Imagine how pissed everyone would be at Higgins or JJ if they cost everyone their paychecks…

I’m willing to bet that now basically every fringe roster guy is going to be fully vaccinated, because teams aren’t going to want to take the risk of having them at the bottom of the roster when they could potentially fuck everything up.

This also gives a major competitive advantage to teams with the highest vaccination rates.

My opinion... NFL aren't making the vaccination mandatory because if a player is one of the .000001% who has some crazy career ending reaction, they get sued. So, they are making what should be an easy choice anyway almost mandatory.

The NFL is a private company. Just like their take on weed - you want to work here and make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, you can follow an expectation or try your luck in Saskatoon or Edmonton.
