NFL Off-Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m having a really good day, so I don’t want to be a dick, but can we not use an inaccurate, racially-charged term like “thug”?

We have no idea what Sherman is going through. I almost got myself killed early on in COVID because my depression wasn’t treated correctly and a dude pissed me off walking in DC. And, if you think I like to fight with people, I’m 139 pounds and walk with a limp because of a physical disability.

Point being, a lot worse could be going on with Sherman. Frankly, I don’t like or think we should be putting any label on him - thug, CTE, suicidal, etc. - on RCF. It’s not our place and could be offensive to a variety of communities that may be represented amongst posters and viewers.

That’s what Twitter is for. RCF is a community that also has to generate revenue to survive. If posters are coming to me saying how uncomfortable they are then it threatens the survivability of the site. If you disagree to a point where you’ll ignore me, though, then a vacation can be arranged.
To all, I apologize for the phrase I used. I understand some will see that as stereotypical and racial and that was not my intentions.
Poor choice of words and I apologize.

It was merely a bob stating an opinion. A guy known for big hits approaching the end of his career suddenly has a random innocent (as far as we know) and threatens to kill himself. It doesn't seem like his nature but who knows.

That said maybe I'm different but when I drink too much I don't threaten to kill myself or try to break into my in-laws house.....

OK, I thought maybe there was more to it than I was reading.

Ya, I dunno man, different alcohol hits people differently. I've seen it w/ whiskey the most. Where people get depressed, emotional, and than angry and violent vs. Vodka which tends to make for a more jovial drunkard, lol.

Not a good week for NFL news:

"His wife, Kalabrya Gondrezick-Haskins, was arrested and charged with felony battery and domestic violence after reportedly punching the QB in his mouth -- splitting his lip and knocking out a tooth. The injuries stemming from the punch were allegedly "substantial in nature" and required/will require dental work to repair."

Kinda saw this one coming...

...when he became a Steelers quarterback.

She beat his ass.

Latest update i.e. agent leak is saying the Rats might end up signing Lamar before Baker, contrary to recent common wisdom.

Range expected to be 40-45mm apy (of course the article just assumed from Dak's and Mahomes' numbers.)
