Yeah, Zimmer and Daniel Johnson are in the vulnerable position of being left-handed hitting outfielders who have not been able to take advantage of their opportunities at the major league level, although to be fair Johnson has only had 89 at-bats.I have a hunch one of Zimmer/Mercado will be back in 22 and likely Mercado since he isn't Arb eligible plus he is a right handed bat and we have Naylor, Jones, Kwan etc all likely to have a chance in the OF from the left side...
I would agree that Naylor, Kwan, and Jones are all higher on the pecking order of left-handed outfielders. If it comes down to Zimmer or Mercado I agree it would be Oscar, who is two years younger.
