Third consecutive close game between the Tribe and Red Sox. All three games decided late. Not much consolation if we get swept, though.
Thanks to multiple interference, he lost two steps between 2nd and 3rd, and another step rounding 3rd--so let's say he'd have been out at home by only five feet (if that).I've never seen that happen before. The Indians dugout was all over it. What a break. No way Mercado scores if he's not interfered with. He was out by 15 feet, would have been 10 feet if he wasn't bumped. Unbelievable.
Agree, good win and glad the team didn’t fold down 4-0. However, I think the Red Sox are overrated and the weakest wild card contender in the AL. Beyond Denver’s and Martinez, their lineup doesn’t impress nor does their starting rotation, IMO. Nonetheless, glad Tribe avoided getting swept.Another series against a very good team that could have easily swung the other way. On the verge my friends.......on the verge.
