2021 Series #10 | Indians @ Royals | May 3-6, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Phil Maton to start tonight - first start in 150 appearances

Did any reporter ask Tito about Eddie last night? He DH’d Sunday “to get him off his legs” and then he was removed too early last night after walking around the bases on his homerun. And now he’s not in the lineup tonight. I looked this morning but couldn’t find any updates.

JRam is hitless in 8 ABs vs Minor.

That makes him overdue for a correction to the norm. I'm thinking 2 for 2 with a blast, before Minor gets chased.

In his career vs the Tribe, Minor has owned us. Owned is an understatement.

Eight games, two starts....0.39 ERA....389 OPS.

The entire team is due...big time.

that is definitely owned

Why would you use the raw total of runs scored, instead of runs per game?

I can't think of a single reason besides either laziness or being intentionally misleading.

For what it's worth, we're at 4.11 runs per game, which would put us 17th in MLB and 10th in the AL. The league average is 4.33.
Some folks like to twist the truth or make up their own reality to fit the narrative they desire. I particularly like "I see that so many of us are still focused on power...instead of paying attention to what really matters." I didn't read back through all the posts, but I'm struggling to figure out who in the hell he's even referring to.

The blatant truth about the lack of offense can be attributed to the absolute, beyond any doubt lack of offensive production from 1B, C, and CF. You put a league average hitter in those positions and we're likely close to the top in runs scored and runs per game. The power is a blessing and more could only be better if it's tapped into like our good hitters have done. FFS if Bauers and Perez had 5-8 HR each while hitting as shitty as they are we would at least have some production from them. As it stands, we're asking 2/3 of our lineup to produce like a solid 1-9 and they just haven't been. Hopefully Harold Ramirez can continue to do what he did last night and give us a boost. I'd like to see Naylor take over 1B relegating Bauers to the bench or FA. That would open up RF for Luplow who has been productive, mostly due to his power I might add.

CBus leads now 6-2 (going to bottom of 4th)

Akron now underway

Lake County trails 3-0 (in bottom of 3rd)

Lynchburg now leads 9-0 (top of the 4th)

Edit: Sorry, wrong thread..

CF production is a problem?

Amed is hitting the ball harder than he ever had. His hard hit % is the highest of his career, a whopping 7 points over his average. His BB% is almost double his career rate, and he has the lowest K rate of his career. Abd yet his BABIP is 101 points lower than his career.

The only thing wrong with our centerfield production is horrid bad luck. If his production matched how he is actually hitting the ball, he would be anointed as our permanent answer there.

And then we'd have more productive OFs than positions in the grass...which would move Naylor to first base.

Problem solved.

It takes patience. JRam started getting rewarded,, then Franmil. Naylors hits are beginning to fall. Hernandez may be coming, too. When Ameds do, too, we will be in business.

Hernandez rips another one with no results.

Nice nine pitch walk for Luplow.

Jose bounces 6-4-3.

A four pitch walk to start the game is not what we wanted to see.

Love to see first pitch foul outs from Santana.

In spite of the leadoff walk, Maton has a good inning.

Its anybodys guess as to what is a strike tonight...including the ump.

And the umps guess is the one that counts.
