If anything, I'd play Rosario at second and Gimenez at SS... but what the hell do I know..

I would almost expect Rosario to be moved to 2B going into 2022, but I'm kind of confused why they don't just make that move now.

Count me as not on board with how they're handling Andres Gimenez. Having him play almost exclusively at 2B and relegating him to only being in the lineup against a righty is truly baffling considering where we are at this point of the season in being out of contention. Maybe someone here can explain why it makes a ton of sense because I'm perplexed.

I think we are doing 2 things here..

1. Externally - Trying to sell Amed Rosario as a legit ML SS, not the defensively challenged version we all think/thought he was originally - We are trying to maximize his trade value for an off-season or even a 2022 mid-season trade
2. Internally - deciding if we are going to roll with him at short until Arias is ready or decide if Amed's play at SS makes Gimenez, Arias, etc. trade bait to address other needs.

I think it is SS or bust for Amed in Cleveland and I think he or Gimenez is no longer a Guardian by the start of the 2022 season.
