2021 Spring Training Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Modified stretch with a simplified windup.

Want him to hide the ball more, thought he tipped pitches last year.
Had to go back and look at Civale from last year, but he has definitely "cleaned up" his arm path. Similar to Bieber and Giolito

three strong innings from Civale.. a good start to his Cactus League season.. looked like he had a bit more life on his high fastballs.. No radar.. just what it looked like..

Yu Chang's second homer of the day.. this time on a good pitch.. down and away.. and he just crushed it.. good swing.. very good indeed..

It's funny to me that you have these Brewers announcers and Chang hits two homers, and no mention of him being involved in that Lucroy deal that went south. You'd think it'd be worth a story, a reminisce, or something.

ooooooh...Logan Allen has changed his motion too! And it looks MUCH IMPROVED.

Nice running catch on a ball slicing away from Wil Benson in RF.. Probably could have taken a better route to the ball.. but.. only saw the ending of the catch in the bottom of the 6th inning following a pick off by Wittgren..

17 hopper to the SS requiring focus as the 3B interferred w/ a throw over to 1B nips Brice Turang of the Brewers to end the inning.. Pretty good glove work in and around a bad throw that permitted a base runner..

three hits in a row off Blake Parker (shows me nothing..big american legion rounding curve ball and straight fastball).. with the last hit a sharp single to LF'er Call.. Call charges the ball and then airmails home plate by 20 feet. (runner doesn't advance).. the throw wasn't a frozen rope.. it was a big ole looping lollipop.. Just poor run prevention by the pitcher..the infielders and the outfielder..

DJ Johnson sporting a Civil War general's beard.

Brigadier General DJ Johnson. Sounds about right.

Funny, I thought about the exact same thing.

I guess Jordan Luplow has lower back issues.
This could open up a opportunity for Harold Ramirez. He showed some promise with the Marlins. Plus, he's one of the few RH OF.
