You know... Can someone excite me in regards to Quantrill? I just don't see it - looks AAAA/spot starter/clinger-oner to me. Maybe it plays up coming out of the pen....

They aired the Indians game locally. Saw the first half - Tristan McKenThompson is 6'5" 165 pounds . Wouldn't he benefit from bulking up?

In three weeks, nobody will care about the results in the first week of March.

What matters right now are things like what jup and Who have pointed out.

If my experience would help, he just needs to be within walking distance of Honey Hut.

Jeez, if I ever was close enough to walk to one, I'd be dead already. Ever since I first stumbled upon the one in Old Brooklyn, I head to that store or the one in Brecksville any time I'm visiting relatives. I'm a Honey Pecan fiend. I never get tired of it. The founding father Page was an ice cream genius.

Honey Hut... Sounds like I missed out... But think Mr. Hero Romanburgers may also fit the bulk up bill.

Odds are one day he will be 20-30lbs heavier than he is now. Hopefully some of that comes before he becomes a FA/gets traded. Not to concerned overall. I wonder how good of a runner/athlete he is though. Does anyone know if he has wheels? Wouldn't be surprising.

I think the Indians' rep with pitchers is the excitement for some. But Quantrill was weak as a starter for San Diego and I still see him more as a middle reliever than a mid rotation starter. Though I would rather see him get a chance over Plutko.

Re: McKenzie and gaining weight. Some people just have metabolism rates that make weight gain extremely difficult. When I graduated from high school in 1971, I was 6’3” and weighed 135! It took me 40 years to get to 200 pounds. And, believe me, I tried like heck to gain weight when I was Triston’s age. It’s not as simple as having him eat more subs or eat 5 meals a day. The dude is naturally razor thin.

What excitement is there supposed to be?

He's a solid young pitcher, who looks like he has a good shot to be a reliable guy in our rotation at some point, kind of like Civale (we'll see if Civale's recent changes alter his trajectory).

Well analysts where saying Civale was one pitch away from being a legit starting pitcher. Kluber didn't succeed until he changed some of his stuff around so we shall see, but Civale did look sharp in his start

You should know by now that, for me, it's impossible for any player to change their trajectory based on spring training outings.

Heck, I took grief at the beginning of last year for saying we wouldn't have a great idea of who Civale really is as an MLB starter until probably mid-to-late 2021, if not later.
