2022 American League Central Division Champions

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
While we’re on this topic, Lloyd doesn’t appear to have much of any sources now. He caught some big breaks in his career, mostly LeBron deciding to come home just as Lloyd was hitting his prime on the beat, and has grown off of that.

He was an outstanding reporter who now just opines more often than not, and most of the time, his opinions aren’t great.

Not sure how they going do it, and I’m sure there’s a way, but I want Brennan on the post season roster and honestly he probably my starting RF and have Oscar DH……..Arias make it over Owen also.
All we need to do is figure out 2 players to cut from the current roster. Arias shouldn't have too much of a difficult time making the postseason roster, as we also have Miller and Freeman. Not sure if we want to go with 4 or 5 OF too, because Benson is still there. I think Brennan's addition makes Benson kind of redundant and he has barely gotten any game time recently.

I think the team is headed in the direction of leaving Benson and Freeman off. Not sure exactly what I'd do but if Miller can't hit lefties and is kind of bad at every position outside of 1B what is his role actually going to be?

Round 1, we are going with 11 or 12 pitchers... We will likely keep all the position players we currently have for round 1

Brennan is the emergency/position player for pitching in all likelihood since he was a two way player in college...

Oh I guess I misunderstood the rules. Yeah if we can swap out pitchers for position players we could leave Shaw off. But Tito might get suicidal. We currently have 14 and 2 of them are McCarty and Shaw. One will get replaced by Plesac and I'd leave the other off. The rest should all stay IMO. Morris has good value as a long reliever and Morgan has been good enough. That would mean one position player cut with 13...

Edit: on second thought we will have 2 starters in the pen so Morris probably not needed

Bieber, TMac and Quan have been named the starters.

Then we have to keep Clase, Sandlin, Hentges, Stephan, De Los Santos, Karinchak...

Then we keep two-three more for long man roles/early out of the pen roles. Between Civale, Plesac, Morris, Shaw, McCarty, Morgan...

Then we keep 14 position players...

If we make it to round two, then you will see someone like Benson dropped and another pitcher added...

I'd take all of Civale, Plesac, and Morgan although we might decide that Plesac isn't ready enough to be effective. But I also like pulling starters a lot sooner than Tito does. This allows 2 of the starters to have rough-ish outings without destroying the pen.

Roster construction wise, I'm on the side of the fence of Gavin, Bibee, Espino taking over for Bieber when his contract is up and still being happy if he's not re-signed. I know it's not the Guardian way to keep him and play it out for World Series ramifications, but that's a good idea if they can't come to terms.

Would love if they re-signed him though, the future plus him being the All star veteran would be a tremendous pillar of success for the youth pitching coming up. But he's also expendable for the same reason if the club really believes in their crops.
If they can't come to terms I can't see them just riding out his contract, but I guess it's possible. It's hard to argue one side or the other of a Bieber trade if we don't know the return.

The upper level SP prospect talent is undeniable, but how much turnover is too much? It doesn't seem unreasonable to believe that a few of Bibee, Williams, Battenfield, Pilkington, Curry, Burns, Allen and Espino can quickly prove to be viable ML SP's at some point in the 23 season. If they do trade Bieber then there is likely to be another 1 or 2 quality SP prospects to add to that list. We need to also consider that there is enough prospect quality and depth to deal for a starter if need be.

Maybe the most important question is if Triston is ready to take over the top spot?
