2022 CFP Peach Bowl | #4 Ohio State vs. #1 Georgia | December 31st, 2022 @ 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah I always thought it’s when it broke the plane on the sideline….

Have there ever been two back-to-back CFP semifinal games that were more entertaining for average football fans? Stepping away from the disappointment, and that will take a while to get over, that was one enjoyable afternoon-evening of college football.

Some losses just have a bigger impact because of the circumstances. When JR blew game 1 (which I’m still mad about that offensive foul call), I was incensed even knowing we were just delaying the inevitable.

Despite the big matchups it’s usually blowout city, we at least made it entertaining and Michigan at least lost to a worse opponent (presumably).

That's the play that I can't get over. I'm convinced they got it wrong and I believe the reviewer was influenced by the deceptive graphic shown before they cut to commercial. It's as though games are now going to be called based on CGI?

Lets get an offseason thread going. Need to move on.

These disappointments always just reaffirm how much I love this team.

He shanked it so fucking bad.

This is why even if you know the opposing coach is going to try to ice the kicker, the kicker and the team should still try to make an attempt to practice. At least get the chance to practice and make an adjustment if they are going to ice the kicker.

It was the worst fg attempt you'd ever see in your life. That was the equivalent to a fan coming onto the field and attempting a kick. I feel for that kid but goddammit man, what a bummer, and fuck kickers to this day!! To this day!!

I texted this to a group of friends last night but have you ever seen such a bad miss for a game winning FG before with so much on the line??? I feel so bad for that kid...

I’m still angry that the coaches let this get away. I’m giving Stroud that 4th and 1 after they sniffed out the fake punt. He played amazing, let him decide your fate. Just no reason to trust the defense, especially when you knew Georgia would have to be aggressive and push the ball. The secondary was garbage all night and the Knowles defense somehow statistically performed worse than they did against Michigan with all those weeks to make corrections.

That being said, the Georgia luck was just unbelievable. Get an unpunished KO on Marv who was absolutely torching them. Stover has to tap out early. Miyan plays like 5 snaps before having to leave. That’s not even taking into consideration JSN who is every bit as good as Marv. A healthy Buckeyes offense could have put 60 on Georgia no sweat and still went 40+ with essentially a mixture of 2nd and 3rd skill position players.

Toss in a missed defensive holding that would have kept a drive alive. The mysterious overturned out of bounds short of the sticks on 4th down with no good angle to back it up. Granting Smart the TO after the ball was snapped. Some of those calls may not necessarily have been wrong, but getting every single questionable call when you are dead In the water if it doesn’t go your way is wild.
