It’s probably more 85%+ in Indians gear still. The broadcast typically only shows fans in G’s gear for obvious reasons, but in person it’s still heavily the older stuff.

I find it closer to 60-40 now. It was 85-90% at the beginning of the year but I see the tide starting to change. Giveaways have been a big part of that.

Wow. Wonder if something happened behind the scenes.
Ya it looks strange from the outside unless something happened. I understand that they have a lot of guys to sort through for RF and DH, and that Franmil only provides value if he is hitting, but I thought they would give him the rest of the year to see if something clicks.

Right now it just looks like they are trying to save $1-2M by having someone claim him.

Really really could have used his bat this year instead of what he provided.

I doubt they initially thought about saving money but when they presented that to the owners I'm sure on second thought they'd take that saving.

Pretty sure Bimbo was saying this just the other day that even with the demotion he wasn’t long to be around. Could be mid remembering that though. Guessing he said I’m not a AAA player so cut me or promote me and they said see ya later

Kind of figured he would not be part of 2023 but I certainly didn’t expect for them to DFA him with 2 months left in the season

Do they need that 40 man roster spot that bad?

If I had to guess- other than him obviously being horrible this year- that the team wants more flexibility with their DH spot going forward and wants someone who is capable of playing the field while not being a net negative
