They're gonna need a bit more pop if they want to have success in the playoffs, but it's developing and when we have all of JRam, both Naylors, OGon, Valera, Jones and hopefully Benson providing the power then we'll have plenty. We don't need a lineup full of 30 HR hitters. One with most of the guys smacking between 15-20 will be plenty with their ability to put the bat on the ball, run and play defense. Not to mention the pitching.Solid pitching, contact hitting, hustle and top level defense. And led by
a group of youngsters.
Guardians have restored my love of baseball.
I hope they start getting better crowds at home.
Yes some more HR’s while maintaining the top10 ranking in 2B, 3B, SB, and 1–>3rd 2nd—> Home bases taken due to speed and smart aggressive baserunningThey're gonna need a bit more pop if they want to have success in the playoffs, but it's developing and when we have all of JRam, both Naylors, OGon, Valera, Jones and hopefully Benson providing the power then we'll have plenty. I know I get impatient, but things are happening as they should. This organization has as much or more young talent than I've ever seen. I don't have high expectations for this season, but they are clearly a playoff caliber team while being so young. I really like what I'm seeing and I'm excited to see more of the high level talent work its way up. That's where the excite for me lies. Anything else is just icing.
I think the crowds will start to show within the next year or 2.
Absolutely, and I think it's just a matter of natural progression with this young club. We already have a perennial 30 HR hitter in JRam. I think any/all of Naylor, OGon, Jones or Benson could provide that within the next couple of seasons as well, but we don't need them to hit 30 to win. We just need a good balanced lineup that can take advantage of the few mistakes that playoff teams' pitchers make.Yes some more HR’s while maintaining the top10 ranking in 2B, 3B, SB, and 1–>3rd 2nd—> Home bases taken due to speed and smart aggressive baserunning
There is a definte middle ground we can reach next year or in 2024 that could yield a versatile, all facets offense
You should include Rosario in there. He has hit all 8 of his HRs since 6/15.They're gonna need a bit more pop if they want to have success in the playoffs, but it's developing and when we have all of JRam, both Naylors, OGon, Valera, Jones and hopefully Benson providing the power then we'll have plenty. Knock on wood but Minnesota could blow it against LA
and Gimenez. I wasn't trying to leave anyone out. Merely pointing out that there is developing power. You should include Rosario in there. He has hit all 8 of his HRs since 6/15.
Kinda sad to see such storied, well monied franchises like the Yankees and Red Sox scuffling.
