The Guardians have a nine game lead over the White Sox with 10 games to play. The Guardians are at home 9 of the last 10 with three games against Tampa (33-39 on the road) and six against KC (24-48 on the road).

The White Sox play six against the Twins.

We could realistically win the division by 12 or more games. It wasn't that long ago most of us were hoping the G's could stay in the race into September.

On July 13 we were 43-44 and 4.5 games behind the Twins. Nobody ever thought we'd be 9 games up heading into the last 10 games of the season.

One thing about Tito - his teams always seem to do well in the second half.

Next year should be really amazing because we won't need to spend the first chunk of the season giving last chances to Bradley, Mercado, Chang, and others. In fact, Reyes, Clement, Mercado, Palacios, Jones, Bradley, Lavastida, Call, and Chang combined to hit .206 in 777 at-bats. Next year those at-bats will go to Oscar Gonzalez (called up May 26), Brennan, and possibly Benson. We could see Josh Naylor doing some catching which would also boost the offense.

Yep, right there is why you are a better manager than Tito ...:chuckle::chuckle: If a guy can barely walk and barely play 1B, just hide him behind the plate. Love IT. No one would be better at blocking the plate. Everyone will just stay at third base because they won't want to be blind sided with an enthusiastic body slam as they cross the plate

(assume you mean Bo who will be doing a lot of catching at Progressive field next year. Guardians do love their LHH).

You guys still want to dispose of one of the cook's in this here bakery and watch someone else come bake up the wrong ingredients, go ahead and crumble like the hard dry cookie they'll be.

I'd much rather see Maile at this point. I don't know what Hedges has left in his playing career. I could see him making a quick transition to being a coach in some capacity though. I wonder if he would consider if offered in 2023.

I expect Hedges to have a long career as the 2nd catcher that bounces from team to team on cheap one year contracts. If he is playing 40 games a year behind a good regular he is probably serviceable.

Hedges is likely done next concussion... I don't believe he will play much longer. I think he will end up a coach in a few seasons
