I think it was @33Y0 who echoed a similar tale about a much more recent experience.
Yep I did and I actually have recently had my last straw with the Guardians and their season ticket bull. So, I shared my experience with them recently versus how the Cavs handle things. SO fast forward to last week... for some of you who know, I live in the Youngstown area. I bought a quarter season season tickets package because there's no way I can make a half of full game slate. And I told my season ticket guy at the time, look, I know I probably won't even catch every game in my quarter season package because life happens and all. Not like I'm saying I'm only going to make two, but certainly can't make every one of them and he said okay, no problem. So fast forward to last week... I got this extremely rude and unpleasant email from the season tickets supervisor saying I'm at risk of losing my season tickets AND never being able to get them again after selling too many of my games... SO I sent a strongly worded email stating this was never a problem when I originally purchased the season tickets AND the tickets I chose to sell... it's not like I was selling them for double face value. Hell, I was lucky even on some of them to even get face value back. But furthermore, a few of the other games I attended, I sold my seats so I could upgrade to better seats... because their online system to do it quite frankly stinks and never shows any seats available. So I told them screw off, I will never renew or choose to buy season tickets from them ever again if that's how I'm going to be treated. I told them why would anyone from areas outside of Cleveland bother to buy season tickets if that's what their policy is going to be. A damn joke.

You should have CC anybody and anyone above him, He’ll even the Dolans if they had a email…..

Makes me not even want to bother getting them when my son gets a little older.

I try to be basic as it is dealing with them. I'd rather call any other customer service and deal with an Indian accent speaking English.

Probably should have. But hey, if you're not going to care about losing a good paying season ticket holder, then to hell with it, you know?

How can an organization like the Guardians be this inept at handling season ticket holders?

Might also explain why some "corporation" type customers shy away as well. If you are treating potential clients to an event, why risk it being a bummer?

Just speculating here obviously, but I never thought I'd "feel" for season ticket holders... Hope they treat ya right in the future.

What they need to do, is find a way to get the people who run the Cavs tickets to run the Guardians tickets...

This is very likely my buddies fault for not understanding and believing in something that was too good to be true, but he fully thought he was getting playoff tickets included in the price of his season ticket package this season and was shocked to find out they were extra (significantly extra).

However, he swears up and down that his ticket rep told him they were included, and he still genuinely believes that was the agreement, as silly as that sounds.

Not to pile on, but its the only real experience I have to relate as well.

I've let someone know.
Thanks. I sent my email a week ago and no one even had the decency to email me back. It was strongly worded (but still PG and I'm sure they've received worse), but still came away even more distasteful that they couldn't even reply back and say, hey, our bad or perhaps this package might work better for you... or anything. But nothing? Really?

Anyway, thank you for your effort in letting someone know. No secret of how passionate I am about this organization. Grew up as a little boy wanting to play for the team and idolizing its players. Finally had the money to buy season tickets and then you get left with a bad taste in your mouth. And the thing is... it probably isn't even the supervisor's fault. It probably is even a higher up policy and the supervisor is just the guy who is relaying the message. So I get it.
