People keep trying to make Spencer Rattler happen.

Not seeing it. He’s a long way away.

Players like Stingley and Thibs are next level. Evan Neal may wind up in the special category too.

It looks a bad QB class. Sam Howell isn't good and JT Daniels hasn't been good in his 20 year career in college.

The guy from Liberty, I cannot remember his name, he might end up QB1, tbh.

QB’s aside, is this class good?

Seems like a lot of guys who are just getting projection and few who already have the type of production a top 10 pick would 12 months before a draft.

Also, is there a reason Desmond Ridder might not be the best QB in this class?

Personal opinion, too early to tell. With a lot of teams sitting out, or players sitting out in general, next years class will be strange again.

There are some like AZ mentioned, obvious guys. But there’s going to be a lot of question marks again until the draft season kicks off. Probably will be a LOT of RS Sophomores entering to avoid age issues.

Thanks for answering my question before I got around to it.

As an OU fan I was really confused

I’m so glad we have a QB. This class… ain’t it.

Even after Baker year 2 when some thought we shouldnt pick up his option, this QB class would be enough to pick up Baker's option

Seems like another good WR class.

Maybe colleges are getting better and preparing WRs. You might be able to find really good ones in the 3rd or 4th round every year.

Maybe we see a lot of 4th round WR's shine because WR production depends heavily on things outside their control, such as the offensive line, QB play, and coaching schemes? Those kinds of things sort of things add a lot of randomness to which rookies are successful.

And maybe that leads to teams not taking many WRs early? The first round just becomes lineman, QBs and DBs?

I think it's more that offenses are spreading the ball around a lot more than they used to rather than funneling all their targets to one alpha guy, as seemed to largely be the case in the past. As coaching gets better and more creative, naturally you'll see more guys succeed where they might have previously failed. We've also had a couple of really strong WR classes in the past decade.
