2022 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Makai Polk declared as a RS Sophmore on the tail of a 100+ red season.

He probably would have been a top WR next year with an additional year of tape. Crazy fluid for his size.

Also, the Cameron Thomas/Logan Hall hope they fall to the Browns looks to be going by the wayside, and we’d be lucky to have one fall to us let alone two.

I'm not a Buckeyes fan, can someone give me an NFL comp for Wilson and Olave?
I remembered you asking this question and I've put quite a bit of thought into a comparison for Wilson. He's a pretty unique receiver, I'm not sure there's a good comparison with an active player for him. However, he reminds me quite a bit of Marvin Harrison. Or a taller Steve Smith.

Wilson isn't the best route runner in this class, or the fastest, but he is the most athletic and is a guy that can do anything as a WR. His sweet spot is in short-intermediate routes; he's a big YAC guy. But he's capable of being a downfield threat too; he's great at catching in traffic.

I was certain he'd be a 1st round pick before he even got to OSU. I'm equally as certain he'll have a good, long NFL career and can fit in any offense. I think he's got Hall of Fame potential. I've seen lots of mocks lately with him going to the Browns at #13.

Olave compares to many NFL receivers because he's such an elite route runner AND a fantastic downfield threat. He's faster than he gets credit for, which I suspect will be on display at the combine. He does have one fairly notable weakness though which is his lack of strength. But it didn't matter at all at the College level. Will be interesting to see if it effects him in the NFL. But his route running is so good, and with his speed, I think he quite easily has the highest floor of any receiver in this class. He reminds me a lot of Calvin Ridley and Will Fuller.

I think both will be great pros. In an ideal world, trading back to around #20 for a mid round pick and taking Olave there would probably be the best from a value perspective. But, if Wilson falls into our laps at #13, it would be tough to pass on him.

I obviously haven't seen the other receivers as much, but this is a great class. I like Treylon Burks as well. Not a big Drake London guy but he's certainly a 1st round talent. Really sucks that Jameson Williams got hurt.

I wouldn't mind any of Olave, Wilson, or even Williams at 13. Both Olave and Wilson have demonstrated elite hands IMO. They snatch the ball and rarely drop anything catchable.

Great overview, thank you!

Noah Elliss is massive.

6’4, 345 with this athleticism is rare. Very old for the draft class, but damn. Monster dude.

Son of NFL DT Luther Elliss.

So if he gives up sacks we just say the goose is loose?

It's Senior Bowl week.

Following QBs are in attendance in Mobile: Sam Howell (UNC), Kenny Pickett (Pitt), Desmond Ridder (Cincinnati), Carson Strong (Nevada), Malik Willis (Liberty) and Bailey Zappe (Western Kentucky).

As far as I can tell, the Senior Bowl has never had five QBs who could all go in the top 50 picks in Mobile at the same time before.

Some of these guys will make or cost themselves a lot of money this week.
