It’s not football season until @Stark makes a game thread.

OSU leads the all time series 4-2. Notre Dame won in 1935 and 1936 which was a really big deal at the time.

OSU swept a home in home under Cooper in 95 and 96, then beat ND in the Fiesta Bowl after the 2005 (Tressel) and 2015 (Meyer) seasons.

I did write ups of the 95 and 05 games in my “40 favorite games thread” if you’re bored.

Buckeyes open and close the season with games where Ryan Day has something to prove. Last year's losses to Oregon and Michigan don't sit well, and we will need to take care of business to hold that King of the North crown and play for a championship. Hard to lower expectations, even if it's an opener against a tough opponent, but I really wanna see Stroud make a Heisman statement out of the gate.

Also looking forward to debuting that new turf!

I honestly think this one gets ugly and stays ugly (score wise). The defense has a chip on its shoulder and the offense won’t be stopped

49-13

Just got tickets to this one, lets gooooo.

Whooping Notre Dame's ass is one of my favorite Buckeye traditions, let's keep it rollin

Wtf. What’d that run you? Should be sick regardless.

Sadly I am stuck in quarantine with the baby, whole house has covid. Lovely.

As someone who lives 20 minutes from Notre Dame stadium this game is a must win. I cannot describe how annoying it is to root for OSU and live in Irish territory. Fan base still thinks they are the Alabama of college football. I hope we hang 60 on them.

Managed to snag decent seats in A deck in the north endzone for $250.

Kept monitoring the prices and waiting for people to drop prices as we got closer to kickoff, and it finally happened. As recently as a week ago you couldn't find a seat anywhere for under $400.

Also, sorry to hear about you & your family all having covid; that blows.

Fuck ND. Hate them turds nearly as much as those shit bags up north.

Let's GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scouting report on ND, based on stuff I've read:

They have a really good OLine and maybe the best TE in the country in Michael Mayer. QB Tyler Buckner is making his first start but played a decent amount last year. He's not Braxton Miller, but is a very good runner. Their WRs are maybe the weakest part of the team.

They have a great pass rusher in Isaiah Foskey a good corner in Cam Hart and a good safety in NW transfer Brandon Joseph. Rest of the defense is experienced and solid but not spectacular. The CBs behind Hart seem a little week,

I expect OSUs D to be improved, but this combo of Oline/running QB/TE will cause trouble. ND will definitely move the ball. However, unless they allow Foskey to take over the game, ND doesn't have the DBs to slow down OSU. I think it's a relatively close game throughout, OSU pulls away 45-27 in the end.

This is the greatest thing I've ever seen

Time to get weird boys.

Bring me a dub!!
