Plan A for me and @CATS44 but it sounded like he wasn't on the Guardians radar so he wasn't plan A... like you said in the other thread just who the heck is plan A?

Well, those of us that hope springs eternal are excited about the possibility while the doom and gloom/Dolans are cheap crowd are probably thinking we'll go with Zimmer and Mercado.

Mets are really spending some money...

They also are signing players with likely regression on paper... Not a move I would have ever made as a GM personally

Also signing two OFs... Mets are going to be trying to move probably Smith...

All of the Mets outfielders (until yesterday) batted left handed.. this is a "handedness" correction.. Both of these guys are on the wrong side of 30 and were signed to multi-year contracts.. Simple "regression" will probably be the "best" the Mets can hope for... imho..

The Mets are not going to trade McNeil. His versatility along with his production is invaluable. Clearly their looking to win it all and McNeil is a good insurance policy for several positions. I look for them to make a hard push to sign Jon Gray. He'd be a good fit there.

I'd guess that both Davis and Smith are available, but neither are difference makers IMO. Complimentary pieces sounds about right.
