I'm not laughing at Planez and gave him credit in that post. I love Planez tools and at one point thought he might be more intriguing than Noel and still think he's a good prospect but he's nowhere near a top 100 in the whole league imo

Edit - That said it wouldn't shock me if he goes unprotected and some bottom dweller takes him ala the way Santander went. That said I doubt it happens and if it does, I'm not going to cry too many tears with the current state of the organization. When Santander got nabbed the system lacked a lot of what he had and just wasn't as good overall.

"I agree on Naylor but the other two guys are nowhere near being on a top 100 list."

To be honest, I knew a lot more about Planez and haven't changed my opinion 1 bit about him. It's almost impossible to be successful with his walk rate. Bibee was ignorance on my part, but I never laughed at anyone. I typically only laugh at 1 poster on this board...

Oh shit I thought it was referencing me. My bad if I got defensive for nothing. Once Bimbo started talking about Bibbee's velocity spike and we knew him coming in as an advanced college arm, mix, pitch-ability type I definitely am not shocked by his ascension with some list makers out there. I also feel like Bimbo had a post prior to that where even he said Bibbee would be a fast riser due to the mechanic tweaks.

Pretty cool seeing he’s the brother of this year’s top prospect Elijah Greene. Too bad he doesn’t have his brother’s size or strength/power… two completely different types of players and bodies.
 
Re: Planez - looks like an OGon type. Too aggressive with decent raw contact skills and some nice power. I don't think these kinds of guys often succeed especially in a big way. Even someone like Avi Garcia hasn't put up great career WAR numbers. The fact that he won't be providing defensive value definitely puts a a ceiling on what we might get, unless he radically changes his approach and gets his OBP up.

Compared to someone like Noel he doesn't have as much power and even Noel appears to be a more advanced hitter at a similar age.

I thought Planez was a decent defender. From the little I've seen I thought he was better than OGon at a similar age.

I thought that too for awhile, but they aren't related. They don't even spell their names the same way. Ours is Greene, that's Green. Ours from California, the draftee from Florida.

I don't know why I thought that, but presumably it was mentioned here before and seems possible enough. But they aren't related.
