2022 Minor League Week 18 Games Thread (8/2 - 8/7/22)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Keep it up !!

No doubt he can succeed Hedges at the plate, it's just behind the plate, but working with Hedgie will be remarkable for Bo, it needs to happen now.

.426 OBP through 80 games is awesome for a backstop
And he can slug... And runs well, especially for a catcher... And his brother is on the team... And he's probably good at cribbage.

Isaiah Greene with 4 walks last nite. Doesn’t hit much for an average but has good plate discipline and can steal bases.

Hard to believe how far Bradley has fallen. He’s always struck out but usually obliterates the AAA pitching he makes contact with yielding high HR totals. He isn’t hitting anything anymore, completely fallen off.

So is Denholm on the injured list or off? Pretty confusing the way it read. I ask because I noticed he o ly pitched an inning last time out and Munoz relieved him for I believe 5 innings after. So I assumed he may have reinjured something?

He is being worked back in & built up... For a player in the low minors, there are few places to go ramp up before facing normal level competition..

Arias was HBP in first inning and replaced.

Not good.

Williams was pulled with two outs in the second inning....no hits...no walks...3 Ks....25 pitches.

He was pulled after a rain delay.

Meanwhile, Brennan is hitting .336 and getting on base around a .390 clip. Has banged 9 HR and 28 2B so far this year. Oh and he only has 49 SO with 40 BB. How are they going to find this kid an opportunity? Hitting over .300 against LHP and RHP so not too worried about splits. Excellent CF defense as well and I'd bet he's about to have a power surge. To be a good power hitter you have to first be a good hitter. Some guys have the capacity/physicality to mature into power and I think Will is one of them.

Edited to say that I don't want to see him flourish in another organization.
