2022 Minor League Week 20 Games Thread (8/16 - 8/21/22)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Having a 3rd viable catcher allows Tito to more easily PH for the catcher spot earlier in the game IF the situation calls for it. That is why Lavastida makes sense.
Especially when you consider how important base running is to this team. Lavastida is a very athletic C and Naylor is too for that matter.

I’d rather have Lavastida as the 4th guy on the depth chart at 3rd (after Jose, Freeman & O Miller) then Clement at C for even a couple of innings..

Clement can play just about everywhere though, while Lavastida does need innings actually catching...

I just don't know what he is going to get not playing everyday there. I wish we could add a Fry to the 40 man to be the last man in a sense.

Clippers are in Buffalo this week, an hour away. Trying to guess the rotation, but it’s tough with yesterday’s rainout and now 6 starters to choose from. Curry goes tomorrow. Then my guess is Pilkington, Allen, Gaddis, Battenfield, Morris? That’s 6 starters - is Morris about to go up to the parent club? I’d like to see Morris and Allen. And the position players are almost all prospects. Ideally I can see Jones at first base and Arias in the outfield. And I’ll point out how much older the Bisons starters are, they have a 34 year old in their rotation and their position players are generally a year or three older than our guys…
