Just my opinion but,,,,

Call me old school, but I would have left Javier in the game.
The Astros had the lead, and you could have taken Javier out as soon as he gave up a hit. I don't think that would have hurt anything. Back in the day, (when I was a kid,) pitchers threw complete games quite regularly.
Baseball needs legends and Javier could have been in that category. Instead, he's just a footnote in history.

I remember getting an autograph from Don Larson at a card show. I bet he made more money from card shows than he ever did in MLB. You can't take that achievement away.
