Wow, so the Cavs take Agbaji with Dieng & Sochan still available? Agbaji is a near seamless cultural fit, for sure, but that would be a surprise.

I think media is trying to pigeon hole Agbaji to Cavaliers because he's viewed as most NBA ready. As for cultural fit. That doesn't and shouldn't matter at this point. With our core guys will buy in.

They traded for Lauri who didn't seem like he fit the culture after he was a malcontent in Chicago at the end. And if they are drafting cultural fit over need then Altman needs to be fired.

By ‘cultural fit’ I mean kids that are team-first, don’t seek out or desire the individual spotlight, who will work hard, and who will grind in a gym when no one is watching. That’s Lauri. The fact he had a beef with Jim Boylen, who wasn’t playing him and has since been fired, is really irrelevant.

Lots of players like that though. And if the Cavaliers take Agbaji because of that when they are desperate for another creator or a bigger wing. I'll feel like I did when we picked Okoro. Which is what the fuck is Altman doing. Every pick before Okoro and then Mobley seemed like the right picks. But ignoring desperate needs for a player who isn't the defender the media is hyping him to be and whose shooting could be an illusion. Would be sickening. And if the first thing he says after picking him is he's a "cultural fit" I'll be disgusted.

This is around the time I circle my Memphis players and get jealous.

This year, I would peg that #22/#29 list as being:

EJ Lidelll, Terry, Minott, Moore, Braun and probably someone like Chandler.

Those are the 5-6 guys in their range that fit the statistical / physical profile they have been going after.

Terry, Minott, Moore, and Braun are the guys I'm hoping they target esp if they can consolidate a few SRP's and move up to that 24-29 range. Yeah I know Braun has "alligator arms" but he's like the Josh Hart or Grayson Allen type that is so great to have on your team. Wouldn't be surprised if these guys contribute sooner than the player they take at 14 similar to how the Pels got more out of their 2nd pick Herb Jones last year.

Dieng or Jalen (Williams), and then move up to get Dalen. That happens and I'm happy. One draft even said AJ Griffin drops to the Cavs. (Scared of that for defensive reasons)
