2022 NBA Draft Safari

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Agreed. I would want him at SG but if there’s a SF available who’s equally talented, you gotta go with the wing who can play the 3. It’s still early so who knows how the prospect order will shake out by then. I don’t want to be so bad that we basically got no development out of our young guys but I also think finishing high enough to only get like the 14th pick would be a mistake too because I don’t trust us to find a gem that late. 7-10 is the sweet spot imo.
If we keep playing like this, we are going to have to look at the guys outside the lottery.

I think the winning is more important at this point because of how much our core guys will improve from the experience.

I hope KA is aggressive with our first round pick soon, so we can get a solid wing with length and shooting before that pick shows as less valuable than people thought.

We fucked up. Could have secured a real dynasty. Top heavy draft.
Are you advocating for the Cavaliers to tank? In this day & age, you want to be either really good or really bad. We were really bad and now we’re really good. Somewhat remarkably, it appears we managed to skip that middle ground that some franchises, like Indiana & New York, get caught up in.

For the first time since Lebron left, the focus will be on this season, rather than looking towards the draft & next season. Mobley was one of the few givens in the draft and, besides, with the lottery, there’s no way to know where you’ll end up picking. I suggest letting go cause these underdog Cavs are proving everyone wrong and are gonna take us on a fun ride, the heights of which are still TBD.

Nah man , even a draft junkie and a pro tanker like myself can't hope for losses anymore.

My dark thoughts of having just another high draft pick in a position of need is fun to think about but I'm not serious about it.

The potential is sky high and I wonder how they get this wing now.

Anyways, I brought you Mobley so I get the benefit if the doubt my man...

I'm testing the forum at times if some can distinguish my troll posts from my real posts.

You can't take some of my posts at face value and then blame me for it... I give hints.

Baby you failed my test.

Oh no, I flunked out of Sir Dom’s pointless RCF test, my life is ruined!!! Even though my last answer matched and addressed the terms theme!

Well, I guess I am technically out of a job for the foreseeable future so this one hurts.

Look at OKC, they tanked last year and ended up picking 6th. It’s happened to us too, like when we picked 5th in 2019 & 2020, even though we were really bad. The draft can be hit or miss anyways, but the new lottery rules make it even more unpredictable.

I think this year has even taken Koby & the Cavs front office by surprise, as they were probably thinking there would be at least one more lottery appearance. They’ve had to adjust on the fly, just like all of us.

If anything, we’ll likely have to look towards older, more finished prospects, as they are usually the ones who slide into the 20’s. Who knows- maybe we’ll find a way to trade for a wing or someone will unexpectedly fall to us? The good news is, with the youth of this team, we shouldn’t be picking in the lottery again for quite awhile.

Just call me Dom.

I appreciate your recent posting BTW.

Let's go Cavs.

Clearly you missed I was clowning with you too earlier.

Everyone’s posting is better when the Cavs win. Also, team has 3 picks in the upcoming draft at their disposal with a deep group projected to be in the draft.

Lot of options to sit tight and address depth concerns or package and move up for a guy they really want.

This team is positioned so well. Full war chest of their own 1sts, a ton of 2nds over the next 5 years, some big expiring deals, and the team is mainly winning on the backs of a 20, 21, and 23 year old.

It's all good.

I did realize you had solid grasp of my foolishness after the Koby Altman post of yours.

ANYWAYS,

I'm failing to see which players the Cavs could target where they are projected to pick. They will need to do some solid, solid draft work. Some blue chip prospects are currently way underperforming or not getting sufficient playing time.

You have AJ Griffin. No where to be found.

You have Jaden Hardy...looks bad in the G-League.

Both could fit on paper. They have played like shit. But they have potential.

Someone putting a monster season is EJ Liddell.

He is sort of a tweener? reminds me of a better Grant Williams in a way. Could fit positively on this Cavs team.

Another one is Mathurin. I will need to follow him. May end up in our range.
