Yankees winning 27 championship? 10 of those came before integration. Only 7 since expansion to 24 teams in '69. Since '80 they had 4 out of 5 year run 'in 96-2000 and one win in '09.

In the past ten years the Yankees have won 858 games. The Indians/Guardians won 845 games in the same time period. In the past 22 years they've spent over $4 billion and have one championship to show for it.

Since 2009, their player payrolls alone have surpassed 2.9 billion dollars.

Yes. Based on the Yankees outrageous fanbase, there should have been 3 or 4 front offices by now. Their fans are insufferable. Even in Florida they are worse than summer midges. I wish I was Cohen and could drop half a billion to get Judge just to piss off their fans.

Almost as bad as the Montreal Canadians/Habs and their 24 championships. They had 5-9 opponents for their first 50 years. Since the league expanded to 22 teams in '79-80, they've won 2 Stanley Cups, the last 29 years ago.

With the scheduling of a puzzling skip day and rain outs the Yanks get 2 games each by their 2 best pitchers and Gs get 1 game each for their 2 top pitchers, that they won. Not a bad showing.
