2022 Season | Series #22 | Guardians @ Twins | June 21-23, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's one AB and they were working in the cage and ready...

No, it's not the end. Make them unavailable if that is the case. That wasn't the case though.
Or it was one of those: I'll give these hitters confidence by facing this situation. Already worked perfectly yesterday with Castro

Tito reinvents himself to manage the youngest team in MLB.

Like several have stated already - I really hope this set of weekend games brings out the fans. I'd love to go if I could.

Yea, really need the fans to come out and support this young, likeable and exciting team. If not now, when?

Really hoping they come out of this stretch .500 or better. Would be deflating to get crushed.

Listen. I give Tito credit for moving Straw out of the top of the order, though he did it a couple of weeks after it should have happened. And Rosario should be in the top part of the order now, though he didn’t deserve it a few weeks ago. Tito is a motivator extraordinaire, he has the team playing well, no doubt. But IN GAME, there are head-scratchers frequently. There are worse managers, LaRussa and Bud Black come immediately to mind. But I want to win MORE games, and we would have MORE wins if Straw was taken out of the lead off spot earlier, or if Rosario didn’t hit second until he warmed up, or if Clement was pinch hit for today, or…

I do believe Tito gets his guys ready, he does motivate, they play better for him than they would for most others. But it’s the IN GAME decisions that can boggle my mind.

Wednesday night's game was the game of the year. I think both sides were a little drained today.
My only guess on the strange lack of moves are maybe Tito didn't want to risk extra innings and over-extend the bullpen.

It's Franmil's second game back--after sitting yesterday. If you pull him, it shows less confidence than if you leave him in there to keep his AB in the ninth.

Look at how much they used Mercado as a late replacement for Oscar or Palacios ... or pitch run for Naylor even in 7th. I doubt Reyes is going to go on a 0-20 steak w 18 strikeouts because they pulled him for a better defender and someone with wheels on bases. If that makes him go cry in the corner with despair, give me a beak. He gets on cold streaks due to his swing mechanics period. This ain’t everyone gets a trophy MLB. Fine if you want him in 9th but game was close and on line (whether we just had 4 hits up to then or not). PR for Reyes, PH for Maile/Clement were all options on table to squeeze one out of nowhere, especially after LH starter was out.

And, it’s fine for people to critique Tito in moment ... everyone has their opinion - just as they critiqued Clase at BOS for a blown save or two. We all make mistake. It’s fun though to point out mistakes for millionaires as our boss points out ours... ITS LIFE. If you can’t take the heat of the kitchen, get out of the damn kitchen and go pout on the bench.

I was hoping someone would ask about Reyes's...uh..'dash' home on a grounder in the 7th. No one did, at least nothing aired on the post-game show indicating what happened there.

He assumed. And you know what assuming does.
