2022 Season Series #34 | Astros @ Guardians | August 4-7, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I dont know what other move we could make, other than Call. We are over loaded now with OFs, and not so loaded with capable pitchers.

Valera
Straw
Kwan
OGonz
Jones
Benson
Palacios

On the 40 man now. Brennan has to be added in December.

Cut him now or cut him later.

Sure, but only two of all those names hit RH. O. Gonzalez, who's struggled to keep his OBP over 300 in the minors and the other is Straw.
If anything, we'd have to cut a LH OF. Palacios would have been brutal too, but Call plays good D at all 3 spots, whereas Richie is sort of like a LH version of Owen Miller, decent hitter, not much defense

I think we will pull off a deal or two to make sure we get guys added...

How do you avoid hitting the ball on the ground against Framber Valdez? He has a whopping 67% GB this year.

Leaders among qualified MLB starters:
1. Framber Valdez 66.9%
2. Logan Webb 56.7%
3. Sandy Alcantara 55.7%
4. Kyle Wright 53.1%
5. Martin Perez 52.6%
...
24. Shane Bieber 44.9%

It's rare you see one guy lead the league by so much in a particular stat, but I guess Judge is doing it with HR too.
Well, we lead the league in infield hits.

Tell the Guardian hitters to try to hit pop-ups. Maybe they'll get some line drives with that approach.

Does it matter if they don’t hit RH?

Kwan is getting on base at a .340 clip against LHP out of the leadoff spot. That’s after an entire minors career and college career with good splits vs LHP. Is that not acceptable for the guy setting the table?

Call’s not getting in over him and making him a platoon bat. He’s not getting in over Straw. He’s not getting in over Gonzalez with what he’s shown at the MLB level.

Valera isn’t going to be a platoon bat when he comes up either. Brennan, like Kwan, has good career splits vs LHP in the minors as well.

Only LH OF guy they will have on the 40 that needs protected against certain LHP is Jones.

Gaddis gets thru the first three up three down.

Um... Did Kwan just come up lame there?

And who is this guy pretending to be Amed Rosario?? Well done Amed.

Rosario with 100% more offense than last night!
