2022 Season | Series #38 | White Sox @ Guardians | Aug. 19-21

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why did Corey Seager sign with Texas?

I mean, $325 mil is nice, but wouldn’t you rather play for a winner in Southern California, in a stadium that is always full?
325000000. Dollahs.
Yeah, that's pretty nice.
We shall now entertain contrary opinions.

In addition to losing tobsub .500 teams, both the Chisox and Twins had a key player leave the game with an injury.

Kopech left his start after 19 pitches with a knee problem that apparently began during warm ups.

Buxton left early with reported hip tightness.

Old news at this point but they said the problem had a connection to the recent concert that damaged part of the field . At least that is what was being discussed on 92.3. Gonna assume they adjust and make sure it is an isolated incident.

Yeah, but - are those guys any good?

Buxton hurt? No way. Cal Ripken will be relieved to hear that.

Who is the better player to inherit the Mr. Glass name from Samual Jackson? Is it Buxton, Chris Sales, Clevinger, or Eloy Jimenez? Did I forget anyone? I think we need a poll.

I'd vote Buxton or Jimenez...

I can’t disagree. I also couldn’t disagree if you reversed it, or had Sales first, lol. It’s a tough choice. Then again, Sales is 33 so he’s kind of got an excuse. Eloy is 25 so maybe he’ll eventually get more durable. Buxton on the other hand is 28. Not too old to be someone that’s expected to miss significant time like he does, and isn’t young enough to turn early injury frequency around. I think Buxton may be the right call. The other guys tend to have big injuries while Byron gets both those and the little annoying hamstrings, groins, sprains, etc.

I've seen glass less fragile than Buxton...
