Sorry if this is beating a dead horse but it’s just tragic as shit to me that an all time great in Trout has played in 3 post season games in 12 seasons. The above tweet made me look into it to double check. Major market just can’t produce a winning product for 7 straight years; that’s fucking crazy to me.

If Trout was in Cleveland, he would have been playing in the playoffs, every single season as long as the team was run the same otherwise...

Depends how major of a market your consider Orange County, CA, to be. They are 3.2 million people in Orange County, CA - about the same amount as in NE Ohio - and it’s bracketed by San Diego and Los Angeles Counties, who have their own teams. And NE Ohio is sometimes called a small market. Maybe some people in Riverside County root for the Angels.
Nonetheless, it’s a nice place to live and play, especially if you are a millionaire, and their attendance is usually among the leaders. Despite these advantages, they have failed to build a competitive team around Trout. It IS a little bit mystifying.

I think they want to setup a better schedule on paper. Someone earlier went through it, but the minds in place feel that delaying TMac a day is better for the schedule in general

But wouldnt you and anyone else agree that tomorrows game might be the most important game of the year? Beating the White Sox tomorrow widens are lead to 5 games. Tristan has been our best or 2nd best pitcher all year (probably Bieber is our best) and it is his scheduled start, just doesnt make sense to me. Push Tristan back next week, not tomorrow or throw Gaddis on Friday and push Bieber one game and then Tristan one game next week.
