2022 Season | Series #46 | Twins @ Guardians | Sep. 16-19, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What the hell happened? Looks like we got to Sonny early and often. Thought he had spent the last month or two being DOMINANT...
Sonny Gray removed himself from the game with a tight hamstring.. A young kid (22 year old Ronnie Henriquez ) came in and pitched four innings.. gave up 3 earned runs... Then the flood gates opened and the Guardians ran away with the game.. The score doesn't reflect how close it actually was through the first half of the game..

How are you getting the PBP before the MLB telecast?
He's the Adrian Wojnarowski of game threads.

If the MLB telecast is like the WMMS internet cast, it's behind even the Yahoo app. I was following the app so I knew when to pay attention to the radio. Got to anticipate Naylor's dong.

Not sure I want to think about Naylor's dong. It’s probably all veiny.

I said I don’t want to think about it!

I figured that you can run that scenario for us Lee ... We win 3 in Chi, we basically need to be F'ed you know where as fans to lose division. But, as Browns fans too, we should be use to it.

(Sorry if I offended anyone with my more than colorful analogy -- I did not mean to piss anyone off as my humor is a little off the wall).

Your humor will never be more fucked up than mine and they tolerate me around these parts, some deranged individuals actually find me funny. I will say now though, laughing at my jokes is as bad as feeding a Gremlin after midnight.

Breaking News ... 538 just put Cleveland WS odds at 2% (up from 1%). There is a chance

Division odds are now 91%
so this shouldnt need explain to anyone but 538 is generally fairly terrible when it comes to being able to predict the playoffs. playoff match ups are simply too big of an issue for algorithm based on regular season game play to be taken as more than general information.

but furthermore in regards to the G's, 538 REALLY REALLY doesnt like them. Right now there are 7 teams (maybe 8 if you squint) teams in the AL fighting for the playoffs (O's are the squint team), and 7 teams in the NL. Of those 15 teams, the Gs are ranked 14th (only in front of the O's) and that includes the white sox who the G's are currently 4 games better than.

I kind of liked knowing what was coming up, particularly when it's good news,

I read this 538 as having the Guardians 10th, not 14th.

does 538's numerical guess or 10 or 14 or some other value matter?.. to anyone besides 538?

It’s no better or worse than our guesses on this forum and that seems to matter to a lot of us.

Guardians win the season series against the Twins 13-6, including 9 of the last 10 games. So long, Minnesota. Really enjoyed playing you this year, especially with all the injuries.

Next year we only get them for 13 games and the odds say they should be healthier as luck tends to even out.

Never thought I'd see two three-run homers by the G's in the same game, not to mention two triples including one to left field. I could get used to it, though. Great to see Naylor square up a couple of balls.

It's hard to believe Straw is hitting .339 in September but there it is.

Hentges is scary good. He's moving into Andrew Miller territory.
