This is a horrible take, we are all dumber for having read it, and you should feel bad.

Oh stop being so dramatic. He's a year 3 head coach with a 20-15 record who was expected to compete for a title last year and went 8-9.

It's painfully clear to everyone who looks at this without bias that the organization believes the problem last year was Baker Mayfield. That's why they moved on from him without even having another option.

Acquiring Watson was a nice move, but the Baker/Browns relationship was dead at the end of last season.

So, let's play your game Rich. Why do you feel last year's record was on Stefanski instead of the symptom that everyone else agrees on? Why do you feel that this means Stefanski's job is in jeopardy when every signal and communication we have shows that those above him feel differently?

I'm hoping there's some actual analysis here we're missing--something that we don't get to see because we're biased Browns fans with orange and brown glasses on, and not just "He's the head coach SO THE BUCK STOPS THERE" platitudes.

So then when saying Stefanski is a genius who can make bad QBs look good, we are then basing this off of, from what I can tell, three Jacoby Brissett games? Because the rest are Baker MAyfield.

I still think the jury is pretty out on Stefanski at this point.

THey miss the playoffs again this year and the genius is probably looking for a new gig.
The moment Deshaun Watson was suspended 11 games, expectations went way down and I’d say there is close to a 0% chance Stefanski is looking for a new gig this off-season. That was a wild comment :chuckle:

The Denver Broncos fire head coaches every fucking season while playing with back-up level QBs all year lol.

this is the NFL. Coaches get fired for any and every reason. Missing the playoffs two seasons in a row gets a LOT of guys canned.

You guys are being disingenuous to act like that's statement is way out there.

I think any NFL coach who misses the playoffs multiple years in a row is on thin ice. Outside of the established, absolute star head coaches.

Whatever though. Guys are very into your feelings about this.

I think you're the one who is very into his feelings on this one. After all, you're the one out here making wild statements that don't have analysis to back them up.

You want to feel like the Browns are in a state of turmoil, and this close to collapsing, rebuilding and starting over.

But that's just not reality anymore. We have terrific alignment from DePodesta on down through Stefanski. It's time to get used to what the Browns are, instead of the picture in your head based on what the Browns were.

Stefanski isn't the problem in two years and 3 games this season. He has moments, but so does a guy like Tomlin.

Leave it to the Browns to fire a really good coach because a bad year of Baker and the following year with a backup QB.

Browns want to be done with the coaching carousel. How many coaches of the year get fired a year or two after? Let's see

Good thing the Browns won't miss the playoffs then.

Unless he sleeps with 2 woman at the office and sexually harasses them. Apparantly that will get you suspended and ultimately fired.

But outside of some self inflicted wound like that, Stefanski will be given another year to prove that a full year of an all star QB can make a run in the playoffs.....again.
