2022 Season - Week #4 - Browns @ Falcons - 10/2 - 1 pm on CBS

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We can spin how 2-2 doesn’t kill us in the division at the moment, but we haven’t played anybody. We’ve lost to trash teams. These were games where we needed to build cushion - everyone is ecstatic Baltimore lost, yet the Bills would hang 50 on us. That’s my rant

Have we faced a top 20 QB yet?

Next week will be interesting.

I know everyone's talking about how ballsy it was to go for it on 4th on the opening drive, but I'm just never going to like a situation where you drive 70-80 yards and come away with nothing going for it on 4th and 5.

In this situation you just puke up all your momentum and hand the game over to a struggling defense, who promptly allows an 80 yard drive the other way plus points.

Take. The fucking. Points.

Yeah, not necessarily the reason we lost, but 3 points at least makes this one more interesting. Hate agreeing with that prove Grossi, but... damn. TTFP.

Edit: this was supposed to say "Hate agreeing with that *prick* Grossi"
Yeah, you're wrong.

3 points, when you are so close to scoring 7, is just as bad as nothing.

The risk vs reward is incredibly in favor of going for it that I would gladly come away with points if it means every other time I get a TD and not a FG

People so quickly forget that the odds of a drive starting inside the 5 yielding points is very low.

I'm glad we make the smart call and go for it in intelligent spots. I can do without the dipshits second guessing every time it fails saying we're "too cute" yet cheering every time it works saying "we're so ballsy."

I don't care about the analytics as much as I do about losing that momentum and rewarding hard play with a goose egg.

And I can guarantee you that the Browns success rate on 4 and 5 is not 50 percent... but whatever. I might be wrong. But at least I'm willing to consider that possibility...

Which means that maybe I'm only wrong every other time...

Scoring a touchdown there gives you more momentum than not scoring anything takes it away IMO.

Tell that to the scoreboard.

Edit: it's not that I dont see your point. It's just that I hate putting 4th and 5 in the hands of a backup qb who's playing so damned safe that he throws the ball away instead of taking the same chance his coach was willing to take.

This is just such a silly response.

The Browns were lacking so much momentum because of that lost moment on the opening drive that they ::checks notes:: took the lead in the 2nd half on two separate occasions.
