Really?Maxey has greatly improved from last year. I’d trade either of our guards for him in a heartbeat.

CPJ perhaps? Should be more of a reason to play him since we all know JBB can't wait to bury him on the bench with Bates. We don’t have anyone to guard Maxey with Okoro out. DG is the only guy quick enough to have a chance, but DG isn’t exactly known for his shut down D.
Really?
Who do you want to take minutes from right now to give them to Bates?CPJ perhaps? Should be more of a reason to play him since we all know JBB can't wait to bury him on the bench with Bates.
You'd trade Mitchell for Maxey?Really. Stinks that we won’t have Spyda, Caris or Okoro to slow him down.
You'd trade Mitchell for Maxey?
I do see that Maxey is putting up big numbers so far this season. Pretty comparable to Mitchell, which is incredible. But I'll have to see that for more than 13 games before putting him ahead of Spida (or for that matter, Garland). Let's check back on this in March.

Yes, there used to be medical information and recovery estimates from the Cavs. I can only assume the Cavs management is suppressing all that. I can think of two reasons: 1) Keep the opponents guessing about when the players come back. 2) Prevent disappointing fans with overly optimistic estimates. With all of the damn Cavs media coverage, is it too much to ask for some details about these injuries? Not one peep about the extent of the Okoro injury and he’s been out 18 days and counting (since the Indiana game); same with Mitchell, nothing in the post-game presser (when several posters voiced concern in the game )and not a word since. Pretty unusual when he’s your marquee player. Ty Jerome…no clue when he’ll surface again….but again, no details, not a peep as to even what type of ankle sprain. Both the team and the media owe us (fans, league, opponents, bettors alike ) more information
Last I checked Levert is not out...yet.Okay, I'll assume we have less than a 50-50 chance of winning, with our best player and our 6th and 7th man out.
Still, we can win if: 1) we shoot well from outside; 2) Play great D. Stay in front of Maxey and Embiid and keep them out of the paint; 3) Go inside with our offense and force Embiid to defend both Mobley and Allen. Get him in foul trouble. 4) Keep going to Mobley. With Tobias Harris defending him, Mobley should shoot >50% all day. I wouldn't mind if he took 20 shots with that matchup.
This all assumes we move the ball like we did against Denver. The winning score will be: Cavs 112-76ers 107
Dean has been fabulous these last 3 games on Grant/Cade/Porter - like all defensive team kind of good. But Maxey is a different animal. That pure speed is not something any 6’9 guy can stay with without fouling. If Wade gets put on Maxey and does a credible job, he will prove himself to be one of the most versatile defenders in the entire league - literally able to guard 1-4 and a good number of 5’s. I think he’s a very good defender, but staying with one of the fastest players on the planet seems doubtful. But if JBB even tries it, it says something about what they believe he can do.I’d bet I know who will guard him.
