Was getting about 30-40% of defensive snaps prior to starting, 50-60% of snaps once starting

Okoronkwo + a veteran EDGE is exactly how I was hoping they would address the EDGE position opposite of Garrett.. Okoronkwo provides them a guy in the prime of his career who's been an extremely effective player (PFF grades amongst EDGE: 17th, 29th; WAR: 28th, 29th, Pass rush productivity: 25th, 25th)... And despite his size (6'2", 250-260) he's put up decent run defense grades..

For the price they're paying (essentially a two-year deal at $6M AAV), I don't think there's a better bet for the production you're getting... The key now is to pair him with a larger, veteran pass rusher who can set the edge a little better and allow Okoronkwo to split snaps and move around the formation..

Follow this up with Carlos Dunlap or Justin Houston, and that would be a perfect EDGE free agency...
