If this is true it also means that in pass rush situations, opposing D Coordinators saw him as the Texans best/most dangerous pass rusher and double teamed him accordingly. Can't do that as much to him playing opposite Myles, so hopefully there is even more to unlock here for Schwartz and it also underlines the need to get better DT pass rush between the two Edges.

Not sure ? I’m conflicted between being jazzed and continuing to be underwhelmed…

It's day one. They've re-signed a LB, re-signed their starting Center instead of going into the open market to get one, and signed a pass rushing DE.

69 of the top 100 Free agents from CBSs list are still unsigned and of the 31 who did sign 12 of those were QB's, players who were tagged, or players who extended with their team before FA started (like Payne).

So you missed the part where he was one of the best pass rushers in the league after being permanently inserted into the starting lineup by the Texans then?
If whatever national media he follows were hyping up Okoronkwo, then he'd love the signing.

He didn't know the player's name beforehand, so he doesn't like it and thinks it's just a depth signing.

(My personal take is that this is a nice, effective, low-cost signing as our primary pass rusher opposite Myles. If people loved Carl Lawson for his pressure rates and pass-rush win percentages, they should like this signing as well)

On our way to winning another off-season! Love when it all works out from Sept - Dec
