We talk about Swartz requesting certain types of players. Looking at those special teams grades, my guess is Ventrone may have asked for him back.

Probably a safe bet that desire for his return was universal. They love this dude so much he got a shot on defense LY.

Very surprised PIPs burner wasn’t all over breaking this one.

Pretty sure that guy was high on his list of wants this off season @PIP

Big Kunaszyk guy…. Was out to dinner with him last night..

Hot take...

CGJ isn't that great of a safety and probably should be playing nickel corner full time like he did in New Orleans.
I mean, I'd still happily take him especially considering that's another hole on our roster at the moment.

I also would have taken him at that price.

The Browns need to figure out their nickel corner situation this year. Clearly Newsome isn't the answer there, he's not physical enough. Don't think Emerson has the ability to cover the middle of the field and Ward is one bad tackle away from retirement.

Gotta solve it. CJGJ would have done the trick.

Here's the problem with that...

Which incumbent corner are you benching or trading?

The Browns 4th corner last year was AJ Green and he played 141 snaps in 17 games. And that was with Ward missing 3 games and Newsome missing 2 games.

Injuries aside, teams just don't play more than 3 cornerbacks.

So basically one of Ward, Newsome or Emerson wouldn't be on the field if the Browns play someone else at nickel.

For better or worse, one of those three guys has to play nickel next year or they basically need to be off the team.

Are folks happy with the D-Line?

Or would people like to see another solid DT signed?
