I wouldn't feel great if I was Schwartz, Woods or Felton at this point.

I suspect the Browns will only be keeping 6 WRs on their 53-man roster.

Cooper, DPJ, Moore are 100% locks. Depending on how much he just got guaranteed, Goodwin is likely a lock. Bell was a 3rd round pick literally last year, he feels like a lock. That's 5.

With Ventrone here, there seems to be an increased emphasis on special teams, so I think Grant is certainly going to get every opportunity to show he can still be a significant contributor on PR/KR.

Feels like everyone else is on the outside looking in at the moment.

Plus I am not even factoring in the possibility of them drafting another guy as well.

I think they can still stash Woods on the PS. He'll likely end up there with a mid round WR they draft.

Love this move and it points to the likelihood of another DT being brought in as well.

With the exception of the stars, no one is guaranteed anything. Whether a Berry draftee or not.

So they’re not going to look at the DT room and say well “we’ll just let Elliot and Togai fight for one spot.”

Hope it happens with Ionnadis or a few others

A'Shawn Robinson or Calais Campbell me please.

WR room has taken pretty good shape with Goodwin addition.

Is Grant still under contract?

It does seem that the reports were very true about this being a completely different offense next year specifically built around Watson and not our run game. I absolutely love that. I think we need to sure up the pass blocking on the OL, and I think we likely draft a 5th or 6th round WR with massive upside, but as of now I'm content with what we have offensively.

This group can be scary.

I agree they could still draft a speedy developmental WR in rounds 5 or 6 and likely stash them on the practice squad, but was just coming in to post that at this point, I think a WR at 74, 98, or even one of the 4th round picks is very unlikely.

And I like that. Narrow the focus down a little bit more

Also, Grant signed a 3 yr/10M contract last year, so IF he's healthy and IF the Browns want him as WR6/KR, then he'll be here.

Shows Grant's restructure and voiding of 3rd year

DE, DT, O-Line should all be the major focus areas in the draft at this point I believe. Take 6 of them and see what falls out lol.

Grant renegotiated last month, bringing his cap hit this year down to the veteran's minimum and third year voided.

Would be surprised to see Schwartz or Grant on the roster now.

Need someone who can play on all special teams units, unless Goodwin dusts this part of his game off after not playing really any special teams units since 2014.

Grant is solely a return guy coming off a serious injury, I don’t think he plays coverage units.

With no Grant, who is our PR?

Ford is great on KR

Who did we run out at PR this year? DPJ?

He took a pay cut to stay, yes.

You never know how a 30/31 year old is going to respond to his second achilles tear, but if he's healthy and looks generally like his old self, I really do think they would like to have that PR/KR element.

But if he's not himself, he's an easy cut.

Moore and DPJ would be my guess.

Really, whoever Ventrone wants.

If Grant doesn't make the team, it will almost assuredly be Peoples-Jones returning punts.

I wonder if they'll try someone else who isn't Ford at KR if he's going to assume more of the Kareem Hunt role aka "we need you for 35-40% of the offensive snaps".

If they have plans for Ford to fully assume Hunt's RB2 role, they may not want to have him risking injury on KR.
