The only downside to Jeudy is that you'd have to extend him pretty quickly and he would ultimately lead to the departure of one of Cooper/DPJ.

But it is what it is. He's an extremely improved player from his nightmare rookie season.

Only in Cleveland…

“We still haven’t added WR’s!”

“How about this 24 year old who’s had dogshit QB play?”

“BUT DRAFT PICKS”

I'm in the camp that feels Jeudy is a little overrated (I've followed him closely for a couple years), but that said he still VASTLY improves our WR room. Jeudy/Cooper/DPJ is a trio that can hang with anyone in the league and I am VERY high on giving Watson the best possible tools to expedite the timeline for getting him back up to speed. If you have a hard decision a down the road because you've overcommitted to the position... you live with that because you hope that your franchise QB is at the point that he can elevate lesser talent and it buys you time to make a late round gamble on a WR and hope to get lucky.

Watson needs more fire power out of that room now rather than later.

I'd take Jeudy, but I don't think I would be willing to give up essentially the first pick we have on day two for him, hence why we probably don't have him yet...

I actually think it could work out quite well..

If Browns choose to extend DPJ, I’d be fairly confident AB would be able to maneuver it with a lower year one cap hit.. With that, it would give you two years with Cooper, DPJ and Jeudy, and in that time Cooper would be a free agent and Browns would be able to roll over those savings into Jeudy and DPJs new deal..

In the end, I’d probably trade Jaylin Hyatt for Jerry Jeudy..

For context to this class: Jeudy is around same age as Tank Dell, AT Perry and year older than Zay Flowers..

If Broncos had 2nd round offer, I’m sure Jeudy would be traded by now.. I think Berry has been trying to wait out the market.. If he’s able to get Jeudy for 2023 3rd + mid round 2024 pick, my guess is the plan would be to recoup most or some of that draft capital in a trade back from 42..

I’d even be ok with newsome and a 4th rounder for jeudy. This is a pretty deep corner draft with some really athletic corners that could play inside

The problem isn't 42 for Jeudy. If that were the deal, it'd be done.

Apparently the Broncos also want a player, and the rumored player they desire is Greg Newsome.

42 and Newsome is just an insane price.

I wouldnt trade Newsome for Jeudy straight up. Newsome and Emerson shoring up the back of our defense on rookie deals is critical to our window in the next couple years.

Yeah, I wouldn't even be willing to think about this deal! I'm not sure I just wouldn't hit the hang up button if they said that...

Newsome is our Denzel ward insurance if he ever gets too pricey and forgets how to cover. You can’t let him go for a WR with drops issues.
