Here it is - about as close to your regular lineup I have seen so far.... We should just start referring to the 8-hole as "catcher" - name is not important..

We're really going to see another full season of Amed and his sub 300 OBP bat 2nd and get extra ABs late in close games vs RHP, aren't we?

Love Tito, but this is bad old school

Perception certainly has changed when it comes to power hitters and banjo hitters. In 1962, the Dodgers were cruising to a NL title when HOFer, Sandy Koufax hurt his hand in September and was horrible down the stretch and they blew a 4 game lead in the final weeks. That year, Tommy Davis had a career season, hitting 346, with 27 homers and a whopping 153 RBI. Did he win MVP? Nope. Willie Mays had 49 homers with 140 ribbies while batting 304 that year. Did he win it? Nope. A banjo hitter with 6 homers won the award that year. Yes it was Maury Wills.

But speaking of Wills, the Dodgers stole 198 bases that season and I get it, more than half was by Wills. But percentage of successful steals by Wills was no better than Kwan. Amed, Giminez and Straw. Jose's percentage wasn't bad either. Sandy and Tito need to take the seat belts off all these guys and let er rip.

This team hit a putrid number of home runs last season and whereby that number should go up in 23, they need to run all day every day. Analytics should be all over that especially with all the new rules. Put the pressure on Tito. A positive by product is that people are gonna see a lot of fast balls to mash as well.

Amed, Jose, Straw, Gimenez, and Kwan combined for an 83% success rate last year.

Wills career rate was 74%

Hendersons career rate was 81%.

The Guards stole 119 bases last year. Those five alone should top that total easily.

They can no longer face Mike Zunino though

I am hoping (and cautiously expecting) Gimenez to force the issue myself..

Who is the last spot then? Palacios? Quinn? I'd rather go with Richie probably just because he doesn't require a 40 man spot. Kwan and Brennan provide enough defensive versatility.
Tough decision.

In a win now situation, the nod goes to Quinn, who does the two things that a fifth outfielder needs to do to provide value.

He plays solid to plus defense across the outfield, and he runs extremely well.

Palacios does neither.

But keeping Quinn for what would likely be a few months would cost us somebody.

It's gotta be Palacios

The don't have anyone who can patrol CF in Columbus, so Quinn needs to be there

My vote is for..... Micah Pries... lol.

Darkhorse: The PTBNL from the Owen Miller trade.

Palacios is a pretty good runner, not elite but definitely isn't a slowpoke. No issue with him as a pinch runner

Richie makes the most sense, IMO. As noted, Straw, Brennan and Kwan can play all 3 spots if needed.. Then you got Ogonz, Naylor, Palacios and even Arias if you are really pinched.

Adding Gallagher AND Quinn reeks of fear IMO. Classic over thinking and playing it "safe"... Too safe and anything but inspiring.

I really do not have a big issue with Amed. It is simply that he is not the future of this team past this year. We have a boat load of middle infielders. I would be looking to move Amed for a solid pitching prospect if we could..at least at the AA level. If we cant get that for him I guess we use him this year and just let him walk into Free agency
