Maybe it has something to do with one being employed currently and for multiple years by MLB teams and one(as the rest of us) not? I’m not being smug or denigrating anyone by saying that. It just is something true that then explains pretty naturally the dynamic you’re describing in a fairly understandable way.
While that does not make any argument or point infallible, it’s not difficult to understand why many posters heavily respect and out stock in the opinions presented by the former.
But sure, much of this board, and frankly most sports based message boards, are comprised of arguments that while often rooted in sound, statistically backed/based foundations, have just as much grudge match and ego clash dynamics in play from months if not years of interactions.
Also, sharing Bimbo’s opinion or sharing Tondo’s opinion does not equal “taking sides” as much as it indicates seeing things in a similar light. There is no “army”. There are no “minions” Any suggestion otherwise is a lazy, bad faith argument
