Hard to believe we can’t hit Flaherty, especially now that he’s up in the 90’s.

edit: of course, we essentially can’t hit anybody
 
Was hoping for a replication of a Mercado ball bouncing off of his glove into the stands
 
Man, Brennan and Rosario both with good wood on their balls but just couldn’t quite get it up enough.

The question is, who is replacing him?

Herrin, can't be called up right now, so it's either Cantillo or Plesac...

We have no other pitchers on the 40 man roster...

Plus even if we wanted to add another pitcher, we gotta add TMac here soon...

Even if we added a pitcher, it's either Kelly or Toussaint and both guys have higher BB rate than you would like. If you want to send Karinchak down, we gotta find someone from outside of the organization more than likely...

Easy. Use a "starter" out of the pen. With TMac and Civale returning, we will have options. I'd honestly rather it be Civale but I can see that he is going to be starting, so maybe it'll have to be Allen. Not a huge fan of that but we can sure use his arm wherever it is.

Freeman also had a solid AB after sitting so long... I feel like when they do get good wood, it's been at people normally...

I don't really care what we do right now. We could send up Herrin for a few games or whatever in place of Karinchak, doesn't matter much one way or another. But in a week or two we'll have to send 2 guys down as our starters return. One of those slots should probably be Karinchak's.
