2023 Season | Series #41 | Dodgers @ Guardians | Aug. 22-24, 2023

Well, at least they won't have to negotiate with a fan to get that ball back.

Arias is the key. There’s just so much to like.

Hard not to improve on a sub 200 BA, sub 300 OBP, minus WAR after 300 ML PA. Most young players don't get any more regular playing time with those results.

Org seems committed to him. They better be right...

He's a minus WAR player because a majority of his innings defensively have come from 1B and RF.

If all of his defensive innings played were at SS and nothing changed with his hitting production I guarantee he'd be a plus WAR player.

Again, just say it instead of feeding these lines man.

So many good defensive plays lately against us.

Stop the ad hominem please and keep it at facts. I don't hate Arias, but I'm a Guardians fan first and don't want them to mess up a crucial decision.

Those stats are facts, I'm not making them up. Yes, his WAR would be better at SS, but a sub 200/sub300/sub 350 slash won't play there either

I simply don't know many young players who were allowed to play through such a line. Maybe Jake Bauers? Pretty sure his was better though after 300 PA

There's a player on our current roster who had a sub .300 OBP, sub .350 SLG after 600+ MLB PAs. He turned out okay. And sure, give me how all his numbers suggested better things on the horizon back then too. Guarantee you didn't see the level of development coming though.

This happens all the time around the league. Stupid teams are the ones that give up on clearly talented players after just 300 sporadic PAs.

Ump fucks up a clear strike 3 call to Betts and now this game is slipping away

Well the obvious difference between Arias and Jose is contact and BB/K track record...and age/pro experience....and competition for playing time...and competitiveness of the team at the time.

You just made the best argument for Rocchio over Arias by bringing up Jose, lol. If Jose was a prospect today, they'd play Arias over him too.

That's not the topic of conversation.

The topic of conversation is "I simply don't know many young players who are allowed to play through such a line" all of 300 PAs into their career. I gave you a player who did. And there are a lot more like that too.

The type of prospect you think can be successful or not doesn't even matter.

Another game where I see us "winning" the xBA, but losing the actual game

Sloppy defense, base running blunders and instead of passing the baton like 2022 this lineup is overanxious to do it all individually. It has lost all its team elements from last year
