All three final batters(Brennan, Kwan, Jose) had solid swings and we’ll hit balls but none were able to drop or get by someone.

Would have zero chance in a series. Still would love it to happen but I think the most important thing is closing the gap to 2 or 3 games to keep up the chase mentality for the young kids. Don’t want to slip to 6-8 games back and have the game start to feel like just going through the motions

Playoff appearance or not, something valuable can be taken from the remainder of this season if they stay within striking distance. It's like, or it should be like a playoff series in the here and now.

Someone posted a note earlier saying that the Twins would lose their game today.. but the Guardians would not be able to exploit that..

That became true...

Xzavion Curry pitched a fine game..his fastball was popping that glove.. the crowd was electric.. the flyovers were spectacular.. Big Sam pitched as well as he has all season.. Sandlin was a bit wild.. but was able to avoid letting any runs in.. Stephan was unable to hold the runner.. allowing a single run to score.. Morgan was unable to control his pitch location in the zone and the Guardians paid dearly.. A posting above said why not Lopez or Moore?? I didn't know then.. I still don't know.. Giving up four runs in the 8th/9th inning.. is what the Guardians did to the Rays last night.. turnabout..

and the Twins did lose.. So... onto the series of the year.. starting with Lucas Giolito... should be fun..

The little finger and the ring finger. Boxers and karate experts strike with the first 2 knuckles (Index and middle finger). IDK about you but I've personally known at least 2 people who broke or cracked metacarpal bones by punching something with the wrong part of the knuckles.

I did a little digging with Baseball reference. The 5 year contract was back-loaded so the final years have more money tied to them
The final 3 signed years are for just over $19M (& I am not looking/ including the team option years beyond the 5/ 25 of the original contract)..

I took another look at the video and I'm wrong about how Jose's punch landed. It wasn't with the knuckles at all. He hit him with the inside of his fist, fingers first. That's probably worse than what I originally thought. I can't imagine how he didn't screw up some fingers with that blow.

Playing a guy that should not be on the roster twice a week minimum next to Myles Straw in the lineup
is malpractice when every game is a must win, just horrible management .

Can we at least acknowledge that CLE has finally won 3 consecutive series?? And it was done against teams with .500+ records (Toronto/ Minnesota/ Tampa).
Regardless how we feel about lineup construction in 1 game, the series results are a step in the right direction.

So I was thinking about this, if the Gs are winning 2 out of every 3 to close the season it might be enough. But the twins easy schedule may get in the way
